FLAVOR FLAV AND RED LOBSTER COLLABORATE ON A MENU OF HIS FAVORITE ITEMS AFTER RAPPER'S EARLIER EFFORTS TO SAVE TROUBLED RESTAURANT AMID BANKRUPTCY

Flavor Flav wants you to believe the hype about Red Lobster.

The 65-year-old rapper and troubled restaurant chain are getting into business with one another, after the musical artist recently professed his support for the financially-troubled restaurant chain.

The Public Enemy alum is the focal point of a new promotion titled Flavor Flav's Faves, an off-menu seafood feast that includes delicacies such as a Maine lobster tail, garlic shrimp scampi, snow crab legs, bacon mac and cheese and a side dish.

'As a long-time Red Lobster fan, I'm fired up to bring a little bit of my own flavor to fans with a meal featuring my seafood favorites,' the 911 Is a Joke artist said in a statement in conjunction with the advertising campaign.

He added: 'You gotta get to Red Lobster and give it a try because this signature meal is hype, boy!'

Flavor Flav, whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr., took to social media June 3 amid reports the seafood chain was having severe financial woes.

The Roosevelt, New York native was pictured standing in front of a table populated with all of the menu items the eatery offers.

'FLAVOR FLAV::: took my family to @redlobster and ordered the whole menu!!!' the post was captioned.

Text splayed over the image noted that Flavor Flav had made the large order in a drive to 'save the Cheddar Bay Biscuits' the restaurant serves its customers.

The restaurant on June 10 featured the entertainer, known for wearing full-size clocks around his neck, in an ad for its Crabfest promotion.

Red Lobster's work with the celebrity comes amid a turbulent time in which an attempt to boost sales with an all-you-can-eat shrimp promotion backfired, leading to the bankruptcy filing and closure of almost 11 restaurants.

The company said in a statement following the Chapter 11 filing that it was striving to 'simplify the business through a reduction in locations, and pursue a sale of substantially all of its assets as a going concern.'

Flavor Flav is also collaborating with the USA Water Polo Women's and Men's National Teams.

He agreed to a five-year pact to promote and appear at events, while also donating to the 2024 Women's Water Polo Olympic Team.

Appearing Monday on CBS Mornings, the musical artist praised the athletes for their hard work and successes ahead of the Paris Olympics later this month.

'These women are out here busting their butts, making the United States look good, chasing gold,' he said. 'They've won three back-to-back gold medals. My manager showed me their story, and my heart went out to these hardworking women.'

He also noted the personal sacrifices the athletes make in pursuing endeavors that are not financially lucrative.

'They're not just athletes,' he said. 'They're regular people working two or three jobs and not making much money in the Olympics.'
