Cheezels have quietly launched a new flavour across Australia - but not everyone is on board. 

Customers can now get their hands on a succulent chicken flavour at Coles for $3.50 and fans were shocked by the announcement. 

Melbourne food blogger who goes by the TikTok moniker @nectoriouspapi spotted the latest offering on shelves and acted swiftly to share the news to his 57,000 followers.

In a now-viral video he compared the new product to the original cheese flavour. 

'They look exactly the same (as the original Cheezels) but with a different sort of colour,' he said in a clip.

'It's a strong chicken smell as soon as you open up the packet. Guys, these taste great.' 

He claimed the chicken Cheezels taste similar to Chickadees biscuits but have a 'better texture'. 

'Definitely check them out,' he added.

The video quickly caught the attention of fans who seemed eager to get their hands on a box.  

'I need these in my life,' one wrote 

'Hopefully they taste like the mini ones they had years and years ago. They were so good!' another said. 

A third added: 'No way, Cheezles are my favourite.' 

Someone else added: 'Yeah thought they'd taste like Chickadees.'

But some weren't convinced and believe nothing can beat the original flavour millions love.

'Saw them today and got a pack. They're good but I prefer cheese,' one admitted. 

'Nope, the original cheese always slaps,' anther added. 

Others were disappointed the brand decided to launch a new flavour rather than bring back the chilli cheese or mini pizza flavours.  

Earlier this week Doritos Australia announced the release of its bold new flavour - coffee.

Described by the chip-makers as the 'perfect pick-me-up to battle the 3pm slump', the flavour announced on Wednesday will undoubtedly catch the attention of fans. 

Several intrigued Aussies who managed to get their hands on the chips early shared their honest opinion - and many disapproved.
